This week's Mystery Monday puzzle is the second of our puzzles that was created by friend of the blog Jennifer Kidder, who edits the "Geocaching Puzzle Of The Day Blog." Her blog features real geocaching puzzles from around that world that she finds to be interesting or good puzzles. Jennifer offers you "Red Fanfare To Be."
The checksum for this puzzle is 54. (Remember, the checksum is the result of adding all the individual digits of the coords.)
At the end you should discover a thematically appropriate object.

Please don't spoil the answer in the comments! Hints published tomorrow, and the answer on Wednesday.
Happy Puzzling!
Had to fix a minor error in the original puzzle. If you looked at it earlier the final phrases should have been BLINDED, not just BLIND.
ReplyDeleteWhen I told the google dude to go to the final location, he was like really a chain?
ReplyDeleteBut he came back flush in the face after realizing he shouldn't have doubted that it would be much better than it sounded.
Think I know what to do but can't find the right TOTT.
ReplyDeleteCan't be specific without spoilers, but my preferred one is in Appendix 3, if you have the book.
DeleteYes, I have the book and tried playing with 2 particular sites, got just one phrase that makes some sense... I peeked at the hints and knew I was on the right track...
DeleteGot it!! Took some playing around with advanced settings on a helpful site. Very cool item at GZ!
DeleteRats, I thought I had this one. The checksum worked, but I found myself in the North Atlantic again :-(
ReplyDeleteGuess I'll have to wait for a hint to figure out where I went wrong, yet again!
Thanks for this site and the practice!!!!
Tim, other people had this difficulty. Read top to bottom, not left to right.
